Un excelent start pentru Chateau Cristi, o vinărie renăscută de curând în Republica Moldova. Chateau Cristi reprezintă un omagiu adus omului politic și vinificatorului Vladimir Cristea, care și-a lăsat amprenta în istoria Basarabiei în urmă cu mai bine de 100 de ani. Podgoriile vinăriei se găsesc în sudul Moldovei, în celebra zonă Valul lui Traian. Moldova este patria unor personalități notorii. Figura lui Vladimir Cristi este legată de o serie de evenimente politice importante și de decizii de stat vizionare.

FÁUTOR | Aurore | Feteasca Regala | 2017

Tonight we are going to review a very noble wine, that has just been released on the market this past summer – Aurore Feteasca Regala 2017 by Fáutor Winery. This is a single varietal feteasca regala wine, which is one of the best known and most sought after indigenous grape varieties of Romania and Moldova. Feteasca regala means ‘royal maiden’ and is a hybrid of feteasca alba and grasa de cotnari, that produces crisp, dry and very aromatic white wines. This wine is part of the Aurore wine series, which is made of wines that are able to reflect the terroir of the Valul lui Traian wine region. But enough with the theory side, without further ado, let’s get straight to the tasting!

GITANA WINERY | Alb de Gitana |

Today we are going to review a wine that is relatively new on the local market – Alb de Gitana by Gitana Winery. This is a white blend made of feteasca regala and chardonnay, where the first one is an aromatic indigenous variety that is raising in popularity with each passing season, while the second one is the world’s most famous white variety. This wine is part of the newly released entry-level wine series, made of three wines: a red blend, a white blend and a rosé wine. The scope of this series is to fusion the generosity of nature with the human love for wine, backed up by an exceptional terroir of the Valul lui Traian wine region. But enough with the theory part, let’s get straight to the tasting!
